May 16, 2015: We're proud to learn that Alex Vidiani, who recently worked as an intern here, has won the largest student literary award in the country—Washington College's Sophie Kerr Prize for literary promise. The award is for approximately sixty-three thousand dollars. Alex had contributed a book review to our Fall 2014 issue, helped in the poetry review process for two issues, and guest-edited our Twitter site for a time. We wish him the best of luck.
April 30, 2015: Sue Ellen Thompson's poem, "My Father's Laundry," which appeared in our Winter 2015 issue, has been selected to be reprinted in The Pushcart Prize XL: Best of the Small Presses (2016 edition).
March 26, 2015: Erica Sklar's piece, "Legacy," which appeared in our Winter 2014 issue, was a winner in the nonfiction category of the 2014 Best of the Net Anthology.
March 26, 2015: On Sunday, April 26, we will be participating in the CLMP Lit Magazine Fair in Soho. Please meet us from 11am-4pm at The Housing Works, 126 Crosby St., New York. Dozens of other literary magazines' staff will also be on hand for you to meet, and print issues of all magazines are $2 a copy. Bring a large shopping bag and indulge in great literature at ridiculous bargains. All proceeds go to charitable causes. Please be a part of this worthwhile event.
March 14, 2015: On Saturday, April 11, at the AWP Book Fair in Minneapolis, print issues of The Summerset Review will be found on a mysterious table, next to a small sign that says, "Take me. Read me. Love me."
