To reach an eroding shore,
a method of leaving little
to nothing to chance. A little
more like play, a little less like
predator/prey. Not property,
not propriety. By my own
example, I don’t believe she’ll
"grow out of it," but will only
grow to keep it secret and
safe. I think of glaciation. I
think of striation. The ant
dragged another ant to the
spider's corner, crippled it,
and pushed it in. There’s
a taste to loss. Who have you
hurt this morning, this
evening, by being your
only self, or by speaking.
