Erin Murphy (Poetry Editor) published Swoon: New & Selected Poems in May. Praising Murphy’s “long and distinguished career,” poet Jim Daniels says, “Reading this collection will make you feel like you just had a long conversation with one of your best friends, and one of our finest poets.” Murphy has been named the 2026-27 Penn State Laureate.

Joseph Levens (Editor) has released a collection of fiction, Unearthed: Stories, published by Broken Tribe Press in August 2026. It includes sixteen short stories which ran individually in literary magazines from 2003-2021. Some of his characters in the book say a few words about themselves at JosephLevens.com.

Joseph is taking part in a panel discussion, “Literature as Lifeline: Why Writing Sustains Us in Difficult Times” as part of the Brooklyn Book Festival. The event is at 6pm, September 23, at Stony Brook University Manhattan, 535 Eighth Avenue, 5th Floor. It is open to the public free of charge. He will also be at the Stony Brook University table at the festival’s wonderful book fair, 10am – 6pm, September 27 in Borough Hall.
